1. Who we are & what this covers

Cosmic Realm Games (“we,” “us,” or “our”) creates mystery and puzzle experiences. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit cosmicrealmgames.com, contact us, or use our related services. It applies to standalone One-Box Adventures and 12-installment Season Adventures across our Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Legal collections.

Our Terms of Use separately explain the rules for purchasing and playing our games.

2. Current features & future services

The website is currently in prelaunch. Player accounts, checkout, subscriptions, and purchases of additional hint points are not yet active. Browsing the site or trying demonstration hints does not create a player account or initiate a payment.

Sections below identify information associated with planned services. Those categories apply only when the relevant feature becomes available and you use it. Before activating services that materially change our information practices, we will update this policy and provide any notices or choices required by applicable law.

3. Information we collect

Messages and inquiries. Our contact form asks for your name, email address, and message. We receive the information you submit so we can respond. If you contact us about collaboration, playtesting, or creative work, we also receive whatever background, proposals, or materials you choose to provide.

Technical information. Hosting and other service providers may process your IP address, browser and device details, requested pages, referring page, timestamps, and diagnostic or security information when your browser connects to their services.

When purchasing and account features become available, information may include:

• Contact, shipping, and billing information; standalone-game orders, season purchases, and subscription selections; delivery instructions; purchase and support history.
• Account identifiers and authentication information.
• Game-access records, submitted answers, hints unlocked, and hint-point balances, purchases, and redemptions associated with your standalone game or season.
• Payment confirmations, transaction status, limited payment-method details, and shipment updates supplied by service providers.

For gifts, we may need a recipient’s name, delivery address, and your gift message when gifting becomes available. Provide another person’s information only if you are authorized to do so. We will use gift-recipient information for delivery and support, without enrolling the recipient in marketing without permission.

Please do not submit full payment-card details, government identification numbers, sensitive health information, or confidential legal-case information through the contact form. Legal mystery games are entertainment; contacting us does not establish an attorney-client relationship.

4. How we use information

We use information to receive and answer inquiries, evaluate proposed collaborations, operate and troubleshoot the website, protect against spam and misuse, and maintain appropriate business records.

As purchasing and account features become available, we will also use relevant information to fulfill standalone and season orders, administer subscriptions where selected and arrange deliveries, provide account and game access, maintain hint-point records, handle returns and support, and send order, shipment, and security messages.

We may use information to comply with applicable law, address disputes, and protect people and legal rights. Promotional messages require the signup or other permission applicable to that communication. Submitting a question or collaboration proposal does not by itself subscribe you to marketing.

5. Service providers & disclosures

We share information as reasonably necessary with companies supporting our operations. The current website uses:

• Render: website hosting and delivery, including processing technical request information. See Render’s Privacy Policy.
• FormSubmit: processing contact-form submissions and forwarding them to our business email inbox. Your submitted name, email address, message, and associated technical information pass through that service. See FormSubmit’s privacy terms.
• Google Fonts: some pages request fonts from Google servers. Those requests disclose technical information such as your IP address and request headers to Google. See Google Fonts’ privacy information.
• Email services: providers that receive, store, and deliver our business correspondence, including messages forwarded from the contact form.

When additional features launch, relevant providers may include payment, account, fulfillment, shipping, and email-delivery services. We will identify material changes before they affect your information.

We may also disclose information to professional advisers where needed for their work; in response to applicable law or valid legal process; to address fraud, security, or safety issues; or at your direction. Information may be transferred in a proposed or completed business transaction, such as a merger or sale of assets, subject to applicable protections.

Third-party providers may process certain information under their own policies. Their policies do not replace our responsibility for the information we handle.

6. Cookies, fonts & game previews

We use Google Analytics on public pages to understand page visits, traffic sources, engagement, and approximate visitor locations, including country, region, and city. Google Analytics may use cookies and process browser, device, and other technical information. We review aggregated reports to improve the website and evaluate marketing. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, or player-account details to Google Analytics. Our account, password, and administrator pages do not load our analytics tracking script. Google signals and advertising-personalization signals are disabled in our tracking configuration. We do not currently install separate advertising pixels. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use personal information for targeted advertising.

The current demonstration hint balances and unlocked hints are held temporarily in page memory. They are not player-account records, are not synchronized between devices, and reset when the page reloads. The site does not currently save these demonstration balances in cookies or persistent browser storage.

Hosting, form processing, and external resource providers may process technical information or use their own cookies or similar technologies in connection with their services. External font requests are described above.

You can manage cookies and site data through your browser settings. These settings may affect third-party features; clearing browser data does not delete messages or other records already received by us or our providers. If we later add persistent game storage or advertising technology, we will update these disclosures and provide any legally required controls before use.

7. Payments, accounts & game records

No payments are currently collected through this website. When checkout becomes available, we will identify the payment service and explain its handling of payment information before you submit payment details. Do not send payment-card information through our contact form.

When player accounts and paid game access launch, we may associate standalone and season purchases, subscriptions where selected, game and installment access, unlocked hints, and point transactions with your account to provide those services. These records may identify the particular standalone game or season and its separate hint balance. Buying a standalone game does not create a subscription. We will describe the actual storage and service providers when those systems are introduced.

8. Communications & your choices

You decide what to include in a message. If you do not provide a working reply address, we may be unable to respond. You can ask us to correct your contact details or stop optional follow-up by using Contact Us.

When you accept our Terms of Use during player registration or checkout, you agree that we may use your email address to send promotions about our current and future games, new releases, offers, and related game announcements, subject to applicable law and your marketing preferences. Each promotional email will include unsubscribe instructions. You may also opt out through Contact Us. We will honor opt-out requests within 10 business days, or sooner where required by law. Opting out will not affect purchases or game access or stop necessary account, order, subscription, security, or support messages. We respect prior opt-outs and obtain separate marketing consent where required by law. This permission does not cover marketing texts or calls.

9. Retention & security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here. Retention depends on the nature of the inquiry or transaction, our ongoing relationship, legal recordkeeping duties, security needs, and any dispute. We do not retain every category for a single fixed period.

When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it, subject to lawful retention requirements and routine backup cycles. Providers may retain technical records under their own applicable policies and obligations.

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information handled. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please limit what you send to information necessary for your inquiry.

10. Privacy requests & rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with you through Contact Us. Begin your message with “Privacy Request” and describe your request. Use the email address associated with your earlier correspondence when possible.

Depending on where you live and which laws apply to our business, you may also have rights to a portable copy, to restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, appeal a decision, or use an authorized agent. We will honor applicable rights and will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising them.

We may need to verify your identity or an agent’s authority using information reasonably necessary for that purpose. Do not send identification documents or sensitive information unless we request them through an appropriate method. If you are appealing a privacy decision, begin your message with “Privacy Appeal.”

Some information may need to be retained to comply with law, complete a requested transaction, protect security, or resolve a dispute. We will explain if a request cannot be fulfilled and provide any appeal instructions required by law. Deleting information needed for an account or purchased game feature may affect continued access when those services become available.

11. Children’s privacy

Our website and online services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Purchases and accounts, when available, must be managed by an adult at least 18 years old. Our games are generally recommended for ages 14 and up, subject to each game’s content guidance.

If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information, use Contact Us so we can investigate and delete it as required by applicable law.

12. External sites & processing locations

Our website and game materials may link to outside websites or services. Their own privacy policies govern their practices, and you should review them before submitting information.

Cosmic Realm Games operates in the United States and currently plans shipping within the contiguous United States, including Washington, D.C. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Privacy laws may differ by location. Where applicable law requires international-transfer safeguards, we will use the required safeguards.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services, practices, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy with an updated effective date and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by law. We will not treat the mere publication of a new policy as consent to a materially different use of previously collected information where consent is required.

14. Contact us about privacy

For questions about this policy or our handling of personal information, use the Contact Us form and begin your message with “Privacy Request.” This is also the contact route for correction, deletion, and other privacy requests.
